Oftentimes, a lot of people, regardless of whether they are a man or a woman, cannot distinguish between these two different acts.

Sex is a body exercise and everyone can do it. However, making Love is considered to be a passionate, sensual act that gives us the opportunity to experience the metaphysical being of oneness.

Hence, fulfilling a sex life and a successful romantic relationship should contain little of both. Same act but entirely different meaning.
