' I Have Tried For The Re-electrification Of Ekiti East Financially But My People Prefer Darkness To Light'- Sen. Biodun Olujimi

According to a source, it was revealed to AASblog that some elders in Ekiti East Local Government Area in Ekiti State went to Abuja to ask for the constitutional duties of Sen. Biodun Olujimi as the local Government Area was reported to have been in blackouts for 14 years. 

What they heard from Sen. Biodun Olujimi surprised them because the political leader who's representing Ekiti South Senatorial District told them she's tried her best for Ekiti East Local Government Area but people there are lovers of darkness as they don't want her efforts to show. 

As reported, they said, she started blaming the Governors who have ruled Ekiti for over 14 years that the local Government Area has been passing through hell of being in darkness.

"This is my second term in office as a senator that only God did for me, not human. So I shouldn't be disturbed to that extent. Anything happening in that local government, I have tried. Ikerre can say more about how I helped the town to grow.  The leaders and elders there should go and meet Fayemi, Femi Bamisile and others", Olujimi said.

Ekiti East Local Government Area has been affected in trading, farming, production, creativity, and education because of blackouts since 14 years ago.

And this has driven away all investors, companies' owners, firms' supporters and brought poor economic integration to the Area.

As of today, Ekiti East Local Government is one of the poorest local Government Areas in Ekiti State because of the negative influence of power failure for many years and their Political leaders don't want to hear their complaints.
